Vtech Watch Design and Colors
The soft and comfortable belt comes in a range of bright colors, which are great for kids.
The watch is available in 6 colors, including Royal Blue, Vivid Violet, Pink Camouflage, and Red Flame.
The red flame version of the kidizoom smartwatch includes a royal blue wristband and a floral swirl version contains a vivid violet wristband that your other versions don t include.
Camera & Video
The Kidizoom smartwatch includes dual cameras, one which allows the user to take pictures of themselves (selfies) and another for whatever they point their arm at with a side camera.
The camera on the top of this watch has a standard resolution perfect for playing.
What I love most about this camera are the photography effects.
The kids seem to really enjoy them and start playing with the fun effects on the watch. This watch is a good choice for your young photographer!
Although the camera is located on the top of the watch near where your wrist typically wraps, it can still be used to take photographs.
This smartwatch also offers a video recording option! It can record 320 x 240 pixels or 160 x 120-pixel videos.
A child’s watch that features a video camera can only capture up to 60 seconds of footage. The video resolution is not as high as some other watches, so it is best for capturing your child’s birthday party or the pet that they just met at the zoo. Pictures are stored as Standard Baseline JPEG and videos are saved in AVI Motion.
Games & Activities
The next generation Kidizoom Smartwatch contains 5 built-in games, 3 fun activities, and 3 action challenges that involve the smart motion sensor.
That’s not all! You’ll find more downloadable content on their Learning Lodge website, updated regularly.
The 5 built-in games are Jumping Egg, Music Town, Tic-Tac-Toe, Super Snowboard, and Super Boarder. They’re not nearly as good as a Playstation game would be–but they can help your little one relax when they need to take a break from all that walking!
The 3 activities are Monster Identity, Funny Face Detector, and Sound Shaker. The 3 action challenges are Racing Run, Crazy Dance, and Funky Jump.
Kids will love these smartwatch toys! These are for children aged between four to nine years old.
But you should keep in mind that it’s not designed for walking or running and the company claims its accuracy isn’t guaranteed.
It is part of the kidizoom smartwatch, which has a motion sensor to inspire kids to be active with its built-in ‘active play’ challenges.
Recommended next: Look at features this watch has that other kids’ watches don’t.
If you’re looking for a good way to teach your child how to tell time, this product might be the answer.
The Kidizoom smartwatch features 50 built-in 3D clock faces and also the Time Master lesson to teach your kid how to tell time.
The following features included in this watch are worth mentioning: an alarm, a stopwatch, etc.
Storage & Sync
The VTech Kidizoom DX features 256 MB of memory to store photos, videos, and other multimedia. You can take approximately 1600 apps or video recordings for a total of 23 minutes in the 320 x 240 pixels resolution setting. Each video lasts for at least one minute.
The included Micro USB 2.0 cable is used to connect the wristband to your personal computer.
The next-generation Kidizoom DX includes parental controls for additional peace of mind.
You can set timers to limit the time your child spends on the app each day.
You should also know that if you decide your child can’t play games on it while at school, you have options. You can disable the app remotely!
Battery & Charging
The kidiZoom smartwatch has a removable Li-ion Polymer battery that lasts 14 days on low usage, 2-3 days on typical consumption, and one day with heavy usage.
All the things a child does on their smartwatch, such as watching videos and taking pictures, can quickly drain its battery.
The Kidizoom DX doesn’t come with a dedicated charger, but it does run on the Micro USB 2.0 cable. To charge it, just connect it to your computer using the USB cable.
No GPS Unfortunately
Parents are often worried about where their children are, and this is especially true when they have a younger child.
The first sentence does not make much sense because it could refer to the originator of the text or an unspecified third person.
Unfortunately, this feature does not come with the Kidizoom Smartwatch DX. It is unable to find your son or daughter’s location via GPS.
Truly the toy-maker with a heart!
