Who’s the JBL Xtreme 2 for?

If you’re the kind of person who brings a speaker anywhere, your JBL Xtreme 2 should accommodate most of your needs.

If portability isn’t a requirement, this speaker is definitely worth checking out. If you care about the speaker’s portability then the Boss speakers may not be for you. How are its build and design?

#I have been a JBL fan for years and this speaker doesn’t disappoint!
##It has amazing sound, especially for its size – here are the reviews from Amazon customers.

The JBL Xtreme 2 is among the larger offerings from the business and is encapsulated in an IPX7 material.

The JBL Xtreme 2 is large, heavy, and built like a tank. If you took the charge 4 and stretched it out in Photoshop, you would get the JBL Xtreme 2. Similar to the first model, the new JBL Xtreme 2 review also gets a tough water-resistant fabric covering and dual passive radiators on either end. The JBL Xtreme 2 speaker’s tiny stand built into the bottom helps prevent it from rolling while playing music.

The speaker is the largest one in their series. Design-wise, there are two loops on its top to carry it and a shoulder strap inside the box. One thing t love about this speaker is its size, its is extremely lightweight and portable.
Changed: Though I’ll say that doing this is t the preferred solution, but it is sensible.
Added: One thing t love about this speaker is its size, it’s extremely lightweight and portable. One of the nicest things about these speakers is that the strap has a buckle on it that doubles as a bottle opener for opening one if you choose.

The speaker includes playback controls and power, but the ports are hidden under a flap of waterproof fabric on the back. I had to use the Leatherman and pry the package open for my first time, which got easier as time passed.

How’s the bond strength of the JBL Xtreme 2?

The JBL Xtreme 2 is synced with Bluetooth 4.2, minus any high-quality codec compatibility. So while the range measures at around 30 feet nearly always and doesn’t skip or stutter within that distance, you won’t be able to use aptX and AAC. And that includes the reduced latency aspect when watching videos so that you can expect some delay if you’re using this as the speaker for your YouTube videos.

The JBL Connect+ feature seems really nifty on paper, however in reality I think it is best as an occasional convenience rather than a core function. I’ll say that it appears to work pretty well and the music between speakers syncs up perfectly, rendering it an excellent option for large parties. But also for regular use, it does seem to be very necessary, especially since this speaker already gets plenty loud all alone. Still, you have an option if you need it.

How’s the battery life on the JBL Xtreme 2?

The JBL Xtreme 2 doesn’t have as long battery life as I would have hoped- only about 15 hours on regular playback. The JBL Xtreme 2 has impressive battery life, lasting 19 hours and 57 minutes at 75dB.
Eventually, you’ll need to recharge it; this can be inconvenient considering how the speaker charges.

Charging is done with an included power adapter, which seems inconvenient. I’m not great at batteries; I don’t know why the JBL Xtreme 2 needs to use a power adapter when it already has a 10,000mAh battery inside and charges via micro-USB. The problem simply appears to be easy to repair. On the bright side, you’ll also get yourself a USB output for charging your devices. The micro-USB port is merely for servicing though.

In the event, you get the JBL Xtreme 2?

The JBL Xtreme 2 is for a particular bunch of people and in case you got to this part of the review then it’s likely that see your face is you. If you need speakers that get loud, sound great, and can last a whole day on music then these are hard to beat. It’s a tough IPX7 build means you don’t need to worry about any of it getting destroyed at the beach or the park. The included shoulder strap makes it easy to move, considering its size.

This speaker is optimal for parties so if you are not anticipating bringing it everywhere then there are other good-sounding speakers that won’t cost as much. However, if you’re considering something that’s going to be loud and of great quality then this speaker is a great investment.
