Among the first headsets with Xbox Wireless technology, the Stealth 700 can sync to your Xbox One with no need for extraneous accessories.
It also does not hurt that it is just a solid headset, with rich game audio, active noise cancellation, Bluetooth functionality and an impressively clear microphone. We have one of the best Black Friday deals out there.
The Stealth 700 has its quirks, though it’s one of the better gaming headsets for Xbox One gamers that want a simpler way to enjoy premium wireless audio.

Design and Wireless Functionality
Turtle Beach has been making reliable, quality headsets for a damn long time. The Stealth 700 is no exception to this tradition, with an attractive black and green design that’s sleek yet subtle, which suits it just fine given its $150 price tag. (Naturally, the PS4 version has blue highlights.)
The headset comes with a myriad of buttons, ports and functions. The left ear cup contains controls to adjust the volume for game or chat audio as well as an Xbox 360 connect button, cables that can be plugged into other audio devices and a microUSB port for charging purposes. The three rubberized buttons on the outer ear cup were impossible to distinguish after a long time of use, which was confusing
The Stealth 700 headset from Turtle Beach includes built-in Xbox Wireless technology, meaning it could synchronize up with the Xbox One console without cables or adapters necessary.
Turning on the headset is one of the simplest, fastest processes I ve ever experienced. After pressing the sync button on each device you’re all set to play with ease.
When it comes to top tier headsets for gaming, the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 is an excellent choice. The ear cups have Turtle Beach s ProSpecs technology, meaning they should give a comfortable fit to those who wear glasses.
The Stealth 700 generally offers great soundtracks with plenty of bass, but its optional Superhuman Hearing setting adds the treble to highlight enemy footsteps. Reaching for this setting allowed me to pick a good profile for my games whether I was playing they had little trouble in specific tracks and frequent volume adjustments.
Turtle Beach’s xbox one headset made a great companion to the brutal fighting of Injustice 2. Every single punch, kick and explosion had an astonishingly satisfying sense of impact, while more subtle noises like sword slices and batarang tosses sounded delicious.
I found that Overwatch provided a similar level of immersion, although when the volume on the headset was too high, bass sound effects often distanced me from what was happening. What was a challenge for me before using the headset is now much easier.
With the engine and tire sounds satisfying, I enjoyed a good sonic thud with every hit of debris only to find racing sound just slightly too bassy for my liking.
Microphone, Software and Battery
The Stealth 700 has a tiny flip-to-mute mic, and it delivered solid efficiency though its size is small. When I listened back to my Twitch streams, I was impressed by how clear my voice came through.
Turtle Beachs headset features Bluetooth support, which allowed me to be linked to both my Xbox One and my smartphone simultaneously. This feature was a godsend; I could easily listen to a podcast from my phone without losing game audio, or just jam out for some music as soon as I was done gaming.
The Turtle Beach Audio Hub app (available on iOS, Android and PCs) enables you to personalize your Stealth 700 through toggle features such as Superhuman Ear. Chat Boost and Active Noise Cancellation, with the ability to switch through different Audio Tracks presets which emphasize bass or treble. While I would have liked to activate all of these features from the headset, I really appreciate how many customization options the software offers.
The Stealth 700 promises to give you 10 hours of continuous use, which has proven true in my testing. I have yet to completely drain the headset on a single charge even after an extended number of hours.
Stealth 600 vs. 700
The $149 Stealth 700 headset is available alongside the $99 Stealth 600, so what s the difference? Both headsets provide same Xbox Wireless technology allowing you to connect seamlessly to your console and have customizable sound presets. The Stealth 600 offers 15 hours of battery life, compared to the Stealth 700’s 10 hours.
If you have a Playstation, we recommend the more expensive 700 Stealth model with Bluetooth and active noise cancellation. On Xbox, both the 600 and 700 models come with virtual surround sound functionality built-in.
The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 and 600 both have strong sound quality, a clear microphone, and many useful features.
There are, however, other wireless Xbox One headsets worth taking into consideration. The $99LucidSound LS15X includes a unique in-ear design that rests comfortably on your own neck. For those who like the premium design of the LS30 ($179) but with slightly less performance an option is available in the LS35X for $179 Additionally, there is the Xbox version of Razer s Thresher Ultimate, which is well known as a wireless headset because it has good sound and comfort but can be very expensive at $249.
The Stealth 700 offers a delightful mixture of features and affordability for those looking to purchase a headset that can game on their Xbox One.
