You’ll have to plug-and-play less often and enjoy fine-tuning binds if you go with the Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite.

The Scimitar RGB Elite is too large for both claw and palm grippers. It weighs 116 grams and has dimensions of 6.91 x 4.5 x 3.1 inches

Corsair’s sleek mouse is constructed of rubber and has their company logo on the side. It also has a textured scroll wheel with two DPI buttons below it. This mouse can be held by either your pinky or ring finger.

Best corsair scimitar – For the visually inclined, the RGB lighting appears on the scroll wheel and medial side keypad. The color of the RGB LEDs can be adjusted through Corsair s iCUE software.

The Scimitar RGB Elite from Corsair is a fairly typical multiplatform mouse with 17 programmable buttons and a sensitivity of up to 18,000 DPI. The mouse offers a polling rate as high as 1,000 Hz and has a braided-fiber cord that reaches up to 1.8 meters in length.

This mouse has 12 buttons, two of them textured to allow easy use. The keypad can be slid forward or backward for easier lap-use.

However, your experience may vary with Corsair s iCUE software and driver platform. The Scimitar RGB Elite is not plug-and-play and the side keypad that I praised earlier becomes a burden if you don t download iCUE or program all of the commands yourself. iCUE is a powerful tool for hardcore gamers looking to personalize their peripherals. But the software is overwhelming and difficult for those who simply want a gaming mouse with default settings.

My experience with the Logitech G Pro Gaming (with no palm-gripping in years) made me surprisingly comfortable with how natural the scimitar felt in my own hand.

I had concerns about the design of the medial side keypad, which looked too small and crowded. However in practice, I can adjust the placement and textured rows make for easy navigation. I play a druid on Wow, the game known for its large array of class abilities. The side-keypad is intuitive and I could quickly switch between healing my teammates in caster form, switching into cat form to dash to safety, then going back to attacking as a caster all while never having stretched my fingers.

But despite being designed especially for MMOs and MOBAs, the Scimitar was also surprisingly serviceable in traditional first-person shooters.

The Corsair Scimitar’s mouse design provides a comfortable arm rest and top-of-hand support, ensuring steady control during long gaming sessions. I could easily kill my opponents in Overwatch and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare with the swift movement from my arm and wrist.

Bottom Line

Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite is a good choice for gamers who wish to improve their MMO experience. It’s priced competitively with other games, such as the $85 Razer Naga Trinity and the Corsair Sabre, which offers a lifetime warranty, adjustable weight tuning capability, and an attractive package design.

However, Scimitar’s reliance on iCUE is actually a turn-off for a few. Gamers who want to buy an MMO mouse that works right out of the box should think about the Razer Naga Trinity.

If you’re looking for a mouse that’s great with combat MMO games and is still comfortable to use during casual FPS sessions, this Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite is the perfect choice.
