Corsair s STRONGEST One The addition of AMD’s powerful Ryzen 9 3950X and Intel Xeon chip, in the Corsair One, makes it one of the fastest models in Corsair’s product lineup. In conjunction with Nvidia’s flagship 11GB GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and 32GB of RAM, there is no game that the One A100 can’t handle.

The Ryzen 9 3950X is overkill for gaming if you don’t have other applications that could use the system’s resources. Corsair plans to release a Corsair One or100 with a high-end Ryzen CPUs, including an overclocked 12-core, 24-thread processor for $3,499 and also a $2,999 base model of Even the most expensive configuration of this gaming desktop is more affordable than other options in the market. It would be better if Corsair offered a Ryzen 5 and a Ryzen 7 chip that could offer gamers an even greater value.

My One a100 has other specifications, one of which is the 1TB SSD it includes with Windows 10 Home pre-installed. The included drive is a Corsair Force MP600 that takes advantage of PCI Express 4.0 to deliver higher throughput for you and your system! (It is unlikely that a leading PCIe 3.1 SSD would produce any noticeable difference, but at the least Corsair makes use of the latest and greatest AMD has to offer). The system includes 2TB of mechanical hard drive space for extra storage. The main one A|100 is backed by two years of warranty coverage, which is by far the most desirable warranty length.

The Corsair One series of gaming PCs are always compact and liquid cooled. It is brilliant engineering, but there is not much of a chance to upgrade the components in this computer.

The MAIN ONE’s all-black, silver-accented, RGB LED stripes continue a set of powerful lines down the sides with bold red and yellow.

The power button is placed right next to the strip, while the ports are tucked away on the bottom edge.

The selection below includes an audio tracks combo jack, some USB 3.1 Type-A ports, and an HDMI 2.0 port for virtual reality headsets. Additionally, there is no media card reader in the center of the system

Wireless connectivity is handled through the Intel 2×2 AC 8265 W-Fi card. The motherboard also features three USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a trio of 10Gbps USB port (two on the front and one in the back), Ethernet capability with 10GB A100 is one of the few high-speed Thunderbolt 3 compatible devices. USB ports, while comparably less speedy at 10Gbps, are also made available for customers seeking a more traditional docking device. (A Thunderbolt 3 connection can send data at up to 40Gbps in a best-case scenario, but the actual throughput will vary based on factors like the power supply’s capabilities and how compelling of an application is.)

You will need to be mindful of the wireless antennas in the photographs for your main Intel AX200 Wi-Fi card  to have any meaningful range and must support recent standards.

RAM in the Corsair One is 16GB of DDR4-2133.

The Corsair SF600, one of the smaller power supplies approved for use with compact PCs such as this system, delivers 600 watts of power and has an 80 Plus Gold certification.

All other Corsair One desktop PCs come with an easy-to-reach CPU fan and heat sink. On a barebones type of machine like the One 100, however, there is no way to go inside and see the system that cools your overclocked CPU – at least not without opening up the metal cover on top of the case.

It had been almost silent under any workload I threw as of this PC.

Liquid cooling is a popular method of keeping a computer cool. A liquid-cooled computer has two cooling options: fan with internal liquid cooling or external radiators to collect and dissipate heat.

The Corsair One can be completely silent when the temperature is low enough; all of the fans have a zero RPM mode that may automatically engage. Despite this, even though the fan blades rotate back and forth, noise output from these devices is barely perceptible. Despite its compact size, the Corsair One Gaming PC has an almost whisper-quiet cooling system.

In order to benchmark the Corsair One, let’s examine its value compared to competing small-form-factor machines. I configured the Omen Obelisk (Late 2019) on HP’s website for $3,121, though with a significantly less powerful Intel Core i9-9900K processor. I have considered building a Falcon Northwest Tiki for $4,362 with a Ryzen 9 3950X; it usually doesn’t come with a secondary hard disk drive offered at that price. Next, I would consider an Origin PC Chronos for $3,639 as well but is limited to the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X. The MAIN ONE a100 appears to cost right where it should as judged solely by its hardware.

In this section, we’ll compare the Corsair One with other desktops in its class.

All of these gaming PCs are serious performers–but desktops running AMD processors like the One a100 and Aurora R10 Ryzen Edition have an edge in processing power.
However, HP’s Omen 17 or Falcon NW’s Vortex may be more than a match for PC makers generally better CPUs; I’ll explain below.

Our first benchmark is UL’s PCMark 10, a holistic performance suite that simulates different real-world productivity and content creation workflows. We make use of it to examine overall system throughput for office-centric tasks such as word processing, spreadsheeting, Web browsing, and videoconferencing. PCMark 7 measures the speed of a computer s boot drive, while PCMark 8 includes a storage subtest.

Its PCI Express 4.0 SSD didn’t reach our 4,000 point target in PCMark 8 Storage, but this is a mature test that doesn t allow it to fully stretch its legs No harm, no foul.

The next two tests are the Cinebench R15 and Handbrake.

The ONE a100 and Alienware both scored higher in cinebench than their counterparts, which makes the Velocity Micro an overachiever. One of the many factors that make these machines so much pricier is their use of Intel’s Core i9 9900K CPUs.

In the simpler of tests in this section, we used an early 2018 release of Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud to apply 10 filters and effects to a typical JPEG file. This benchmark tests performance in the areas of storage, memory and GPU.

Corsair did not top this list, although the scores are close. None of these PCs would balk at advanced Photoshop tasks.

Graphics Tests We use two benchmark suites to measure the gaming performance potential of a PC. In the first, UL s 3DMark, we run two DirectX 11-driven subtests, Sky Diver and Fire Strike. Our other graphics benchmark is Unigine Corp.’s Superposition. The complexity of the scene it creates varies by the version we use.

When it comes to 3DMark Fire Strike, the a100 came out on top by the narrowest of margins over other leading machines, which all used GTX 2080 Ti graphics cards. The 3950X was perfect for this task as nothing in this class comes even close to that insane amount of processing power and computing tricks up its sleeve.

The built-in benchmarks in Far Cry 5 and Rise of the Tomb Raider at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K/UHD resolutions is simple. Whether you choose DirectX 11 or 12, Far Cry 5 will not outperform Rise of the Tomb Raider on Windows 10.

There are several noteworthy takeaways here. First, the Falcon Northwest desktop held its own with less powerful CPUs in 3DMark and Superposition benchmarks.

The Velocity Micro RTX 2080 Super stacked up well with the RTX 2080 Ti models at 1080p and 1440p, only trailing behind on 4K where it ran out of video memory. Downgrading to the One A100 configuration with the RTX 2080 Super card is an extremely attractive option.

The Corsair One a100 has one downside: it’s not the best value for those seeking a pure system. Sure, you can pay $1,000 less and get similar frame rates at 1080 plus 1440p resolutions; only 4K gamers that want the ultimate graphics card (GeForce RTX 2080 Ti) should choose from models costing $3,

Regardless of the configuration, PC gaming remains a difficult task for any enthusiast. This is especially true when considering that in order to do so you need an expensive and bulky tower system with lots of noise pollution. The Corsair One would be tough to beat when looking for a high-end, small form factor gaming PC. It earns our top accolades because it is literally the main one out there
