To see just how popular CSM really is, check out the Manga Sales Rankings for 2021. As expected, Oricon released the best-selling manga series and volumes of 2021 in December, a year after the series ended its hiatus. Seventh place overall, fifth place for the first and second quarters, with more than 5.2 million copies sold globally.
The top 15 best-selling volumes in 2021 did not include a single Chainsaw Man book; instead, Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, and Demon Slayer took the top three spots.
